I didn't say that responding to "Black Lives Matter" with "All Lives Matter" wasn't racist - of course it was. However, the context of the response was important.

What I said was, now, many Americans believe that the conservatives are the party of "All Lives Matter" and the liberals are the party of "Some Lives Matter." This is how the middle sees the two parties, and it's why people think liberals are brainwashing kids with Critical Race Theory or whatever nonsense is out there, because they think liberals don't value all lives.

Liberals needed to find a way to not allow conservatives to take important phrases like and co-opt them for their own use, even if they start out using them in racist ways. Because, we lose power when we cede that territory.
