I don't expect to convince you of anything, but I'll outline wokeness vs religion for anyone else who got this far.
"Wokeness" is about listening to people, seeing where they're suffering. The term "woke" literally comes from the term awake, and originally meant stay awake to the suffering of other people. I have friends extremely engaged in the social justice movement, I've gone to things like "white ally" groups to help get POC rights, feminist groups, and all sorts far left liberal witchcraft. And, I've been doing this for over a decade, far longer than it's been in the public eye.
And, the goal of this type of social justice is always to reduce the pain other people experience with respect to inequality. So, when I say "I'm woke" (or more accurately, I aspire to be woke) what I mean is, I am trying to help groups that are not expering equality achieve equaltity by staying awake to their suffering.
Religion (mine's Buddhist, btw) on the other hand, generally puts forth higher level truths about the universe and forms a more global conceptual order. Religion can be dangerous because it believes itself to have answers that transcend the answers of earthly law.
Wokenes is not trying to transcend earthly law; it is trying to implement the existing principle of equality under US law. Wokenss is more connected to the government pillar (via activism) or academia (via research) than it is to religion. Wokeness is based on reason, research, and scholorship, not intuition and mysticism. There have been decades of research on how racism and sexism impacts people demonstrating that America is not an equal place and what the impact of this is in the lives of people who experience it. Religion requires no such evidence.
And, that is why the two are different, and also why religion has the potential to be very dangerous; a charasmatic idiot can say whatever they want and be believed in religion; this is far less true in other spheres.
